![]() As for a fear of Eldrazi or Tron, I don't see how Blood Moons can hurt you. If you're that worried about Aura Hexproof you can put in Spellskites. Then landing one down when the time is right and you have a decent board can mean the game.Īs for the sideboard, sure we can't deal with enchantments, but I feel like the sideboard is cleaner. Sometimes holding them is the best option because you can aggro pretty well without them. Speaking of Chieftain, he is great as a finisher. Later on when you can play one followed by a whacker, or get one out with a Chieftain is crazy. Sure, Piledriver sits for a turn, but losing one doesn't mean you lose the game. It's more consistent with color (since it's only one color), and you won't be spending time, or life, digging for the lands you need. Do you want to run Blood Moon in the side with an aggro deck? I'm not entirely sure, but the point is that you can. My reasons?Ī Mono-Red list that can run 3-drops can run Blood Moon in the sideboard without much issue. I've been playing Atarka-Goblins without lords for a while, and I kind of like Mono-Red better. Seriously, Mono-Red seems really cool, and I'm going to play for the first time at a Modern tournament tomorrow, and maybe even at a Grand Prix Trial I'm going to on Sunday. So the only thing I would want to change is replacing a land with a Goblin Grenade because I've tested this with 18 lands and it seems to run better. I've been testing Mono-Red Goblins for a while and, to be honest, the lords aren't all bad (so far). What I want to talk about is a Mono-Red list that 5-0'd league recently that I saw. Mono-Red Goblins has been placing very well on MTGO, and although I know MTGO isn't seen as being as impressive as competitive paper magic, it's still showing more results than Atarka-Goblins has been putting up. Hey everyone, so I know the main theme here is to never put lords or three-drops into our goblin decks, but just hear me out real quick.
